In addition to hakama, gi and shinai, there comes a time when you should train in armour (the so-called bōgu). This is necessary to progress in kendo.
What does a Bōgu cost?
A Bōgu starts at around 450 euros and there is no upper limit.
That's not a small amount of money!
We as Tekkeikan want to give everyone the opportunity to train in a Bōgu and therefore offer you a financial aid*.
What we offer you
You will receive an interest-free loan* of 450 Euro from us for the order of your Bōgu. You can pay this back in 12 installments of 37.50 euros each.
*Of course, this only applies as long as the budget allows.

Contact, with the completed data, Armin.

Step 3

When the contract is ready, we will choose and order the Bōgu together.

Example 1

Bōgu costs 500€
Difference: 500€ - 450€ = 50€
1. Rate 37,50€ + 50€ = 87,50€

2nd to 12th installment 37,50€

Example 2

Bōgu costs 800€
Differenz:
 800€ – 450€ = 350€
1st installment €37.50 + €350 = €387.50

2nd to 12th installment 37,50€

Lending bōgu

In the association, we have also received one or two bōgu through donations. These are available to every Tekkeikaner as a loan bōgu. However, these should only be used temporarily.
We charge a deposit of 50 euros. The hire fee can be between 0-10 euros per month, depending on the condition and age of the bōgu. Please write if you are interested Armin if you are interested.

Zekken

The Zekken is your name badge for your Bōgu and shows the name and logo of the club as well as your name.

We offer you 2 variants. These are individually produced in Japan and sent to us. The 1st variant is embroidered and the 2nd variant is made of imitation leather and sewn onto the Zekken.

You have the choice and can order a tare here via the order button. When ordering, please select which version you would like and tell us the size of your centrepiece (see picture). Please remember, we only order from a certain order quantity. The production + delivery can then take approx. 6 weeks. So order in good time.

Costs

Your first Zekken is paid for in full by the club in the embroidered version. For the imitation leather version you have to pay €25.00. Each additional Zekken costs as follows:

* Prices are based on the current yen exchange rate and may differ from the above price.

Size

So that we can order the right size for you, please measure the centre section of your tare. To do this, lay the tare flat on the floor or table and measure the points A and B shown in the picture. You must specify these when ordering.
